I've always been into music. I was the kid that didn't need to be asked to practice. My parents tell me that I couldn't walk by the family piano without touching it. I'm still like that. My best days are when I play one instrument after another.
I started playing the piano when I was four, picked up the drums, guitar and saxophones (Alto, Tenor, and Bari) in my early teens, sang in choirs, and started the bagpipes in my late 30's. On top of my Bachelor of Education, I hold an Honours Bachelor of Music, a Diploma in Culinary Management, and I have my Red Seal Papers for the trade of Cook. I was a Chef prior to becoming an elementary teacher. When I'm not playing, I'm either coaching hockey, building custom furniture, hanging out with my loving and patient family, or perfecting my pizza dough recipe!
I have a hard time sitting down - so I'm always looking to master new skills, - and I like to teach my students to do the same.
